About us
emtec is a non-profit association of physicians, engineers, managers, hospital experts in the field of medical technology and educationists functioning as a linking pin between different target groups, such as planning engineers, hospital manufacturers, their suppliers and distributers.
emtec
• developed a catalogue for hospital technology to support the management and inventory of the medical devices and the facility management in hospitals. It is been used in many hospitals.
• translated the English Version of the Universal Medical Device Nomenclature System into German and developed a software tool, to help the user getting along in the UMDNS-terms.
The aim of emtec is to organize seminars and workshops for continuing training. An information network is being established in order to exchange user experience and to improve the technical qualification of all users, the design of the devices and their conditions of work in hospital.
