History of the Company:
The company was founded in 1922 by Theodor Berchtold in Tuttlingen. From 1956 onwards, under the leadership of Eduard Fritz, the company quickly developed into a successful and internationally wellknown supplier of medical-electronic and medical-technological products.
From 1923 to 1990 Berchtold was a share-holder of Gebrueder Martin. In 1990 Dipl.-Ing. (FH) Thomas Haug took over management of the Berchtold Medizin-Technik product division.
GEOMED® Medizin-Technik GmbH & Co., founded by Thomas Haug, acquired the Berchtold Medizin-Technik product division in 1994.
