The GMReis company was founded in 1989 by the Biomedical Engineering Geraldo Marins dos Reis Jr., MSC. His personal commitment do develop an electromagnetic stimulation device for bone regeneration and a evoked potential system during his Master Degree was the beginning to the whole structure GMReis company has reached at present.
Iniattly, the focus was to produce implants and instruments to ortophedics and traumatology. Since 1995 the company expanded its range of products to become a pioneer and innovator manufacturer for spine surgery in Brazil against the international market. The GMReis company is now considered one of the most structured manufacture and supplier for spine urgery not only to tha national market, but also for countires in Latin America, Europe, Asia and Middle East.
The excellence in providing medical devices is assured by a rigorous Quality Control System to achieve the national and international standards. This care is translated into the ISO 9001, ISO 13485 and Good Medical Products Manufacturing Practice (RDC59) cerfifications. The interest in the international market lead to the CE certification in 1999. This was the beginning of the GMReis international acting.
All the efforts in achieving new markets and high quality products were followed closely by the inovation concepts. Since the year 2000 developments in Tissue Engineering and Nanotechnology have started a new Biotechnological Era. The GMReis company was engaged in the same direction, developing Biological Solutions for tissue repair.
The company Research & Development Department was created by multidisciplinar professionals: PhDs in Cell Biology, Chemical Engineering, Material Engineering, Master Degree in Biomedical Engineering, and Mechanic Technicians specialized in implants.
The continuous commitment with research, development and quality has enabled GMReis to be considered as one of the most respected medical devices manufacturers both in the national and international market.
