GUTMANN MEDIZINELEKTRONIK founded in 1965
The last 35 years have witnessed an enormous increase in the opportunities for diagnosing and treating arterial and venous disorders. Our company which, after its foundation in 1965, when we delivered the first direct rheograph, grew in tandem with the importance of angiology and has since supplied photoplethysmo- graphs, electronic oscillographs, venous pressure mea- suring instruments, 24-hour ECG and cardiac rhythm analysis intruments as well as pacemaker control devices. The international breakthrough for our young company occured with the invention of the quantita- tive measuring plethysmpgraphy technique with its strain-gage with sliding links by Dr. Jürgen Gutmann in 1967. More than 3.000 rheographs and almost one thousend occlusion plethysmographs have since been delivered by our factory in Eurasburg. Numerous scientific projects have been conducted using our instruments which have also been used for testing a multitude of drugs.
