Hospitech Marketing Sdn Bhd (HMKT) was established in 1985 as a distributor of generic medical devices. During the early years, HMKT started only with a small range of medical devices, focused primarily on generic medical devices. In anticipation of the potential prospects of the local medical devices industry, our Company set up Hospitech Manufacturing Services Sdn Bhd (HMFG), its manufacturing arm of medical devices in 1996 to cater for the increasing local demand of disposable medical devices. HMFG commenced operation in 1998. Subsequently, in 2000, HMFG commenced manufacturing of critical care medical devices.
Presently, our Group manufactures a large family of medical devices which consist of generic and critical care medical devices under the Hospitech™ brand. Our Group has an EtO sterilisation facility which is EN 550 and ISO 11135 certified. This facility is supported by its in-house developed EtO Control System.
Our Group has obtained certification for ISO 9001:2000 and ISO 13485:2003 from SGS United Kingdom Ltd Systems & Services Certification, which comply with the requirements of Medical Device Directive 93/42/EEC. As a result of these compliances, the CE mark has been endorsed on some of its medical devices. This signifies our Group’s products are of high quality and our Group is a step closer to market its products to the European Union countries.
