About us
Imagel Ltd was formed in 2006 as a spin-out from the University of York, with stakeholders including IP Group, Universities of York & Hull, Hull and East Yorkshire NHS Trust, Medipex and Yorkshire Cancer Research.
Imagel Ltd specialises in delivering a full radiotherapy dosimetry service to customers. Imagel offers both proprietary 3D gel dosimeters and test phantoms and a data analysis service via MR imaging of the irradiated gels. High-resolution 3D verification represents a step change improvement over current radiotherapy dosimetry techniques.
The gel dosimeter product is supported by a state-of-the-art MRI and data analysis service, with two identical 3.0 T MR scanners, and custom developed software with full analysis including calibration and 2-D gamma analysis.
The complete package offered by Imagel Ltd enables 3-D dosimetry and analysis of techniques including machine QA, method development and patient plan assessment of various radiotherapy treatments such as intensity-modulated radiation therapy (IMRT), intensity-modulated arc therapy (MAT), tomotherapy and brachytherapy.
