®IR Microsystems develops and commercializes compact gas sensors for safety, air conditioning, medical and selected process control applications. Its innovative “Next Generation Gas Detection” products are based on state-of-the-art telecom-type laser diodes and offer exceptional advantages compared to current gas sensor technologies.
The microLGD gas sensors are offered to OEM customers as stand-alone systems or sub-mounts for the continued monitoring of gases like NH3, O2, CO2, CH4, C2H4 and H2O. IR Microsystems’ patented measurement principle is based on Tunable Diode Laser Spectrometry (TDLS) and results in unique, low cost-of-ownership products that are set to change the landscape of today’s gas detection & monitoring market. Extremely high selectivity for the target gas, functional safety, calibration-free operation, very good long-term stability, long lifetime, and excellent scalability of cost will lead to the gradual replacement of current sub-optimal detection solutions.
