KERN & Sohn GmbH was established in 1844 and is the oldest manufacturer of precision balances in Europe.
In our product range there is a large selection of Baby scales, Personal scales with stand and telescopic measuring rod, Bathroom scales, Large hand-rail scales, Adipose scales, Wheel chair scales, Chair scales, Bed scales, Lifter scales, Diet scales, Animal weighing scales, Laboratory balances, Precision balances, Analytical balances, Pocket balances, Stainless steel scales, Palett scales, Pallet truck scales, Hand trolley scales, Floor scales, Drive-through scales, Hanging scales, Crane scales, Counting scales as well as Moisture analyzers.
Another of our strengths is the production of precision test weights in all OIML fault tolerance categories (E1, E2, F1, F2, M1, M2, M3) – important tools for the checking of your measuring instruments within the scope of quality assurance provisions in accordance with ISO 9000ff.
Moreover we are one of a small number of companies in Germany who are in possession of accreditation as a DKD (German Calibration Service) calibration laboratory for balances and weights, granted by the “Physikalisch Technische Bundesanstalt” (PTB) in Brunswick. In our four calibration laboratories we are therefore able to issue internationally valid DKD certificates for balances and weights.
