OsteoSys Co., Ltd. is of course Korea’s leading maker of BMD (Bone Mineral Denitometer). We commenced business in February 2000 as a specialized medical equipment company achieving repeated growth annually based on the corporate aim to become one of the 3 major BMD makers in the world with the slogan “Better Products for Better Life.”
Our company, with more than 50% of the staff employed as research personnel, is focusing on R&D as the core competence, and relying only on our revenues we have developed a convenient dry QUS (Quantitative Ultrasound) type BMD currently being sold in Korea, and in July 2000 it was localized for the first time in Korea and successfully launched in both the domestic & overseas markets. Furthermore, in September 2001 the digital x-ray type BMD, the EXA-3000 was released and in November of the same year we were designated a superior technology company by Korea Technology Credit Guarantee Fund.
In 2002 we were acknowledged for our merits in overseas exports and awarded the “million dollar export tower.” This product is receiving appraisal as being more accurate & precise than other prominent products around the world and was selected as one of 10 best products in the World Health Medical & Hospital Equipment Show hosted by Plaza America Congress in Cuba during May 19~23 2001. In December 2003 the Digital Large C-Arm (CENTRION500 9”) was released launching it successfully into the domestic & overseas markets, and currently in July 2005 the American FDA approval certification is being expected.
Based on the accumulated BMD R&D know-how and technology, OsteoSys Co., Ltd. released the state-of-the-art Central Bone DEXA BMD DEXXUM 3 in March 2005 as a new product in the 2005 International Medical & Hospital Equipment Show. At present, we occupy a 60% market share in the domestic Peripheral BMD field by the formation of our BMD Total Solution which is not only the highest of standards domestically but is also up there with the best in the world, and we are striving endlessly in terms of research to become the number 1 BMD company of the world.
Our company was established in January 2000 and was the first to successfully localize the BMD. We are now the first in Asia to possess the total solution in relation to BMD including ultrasound & WB-DEXA.
Although our company has a short history, we have been recording “the highest number of unit sales in Korea” for the BMD backed up by the superior performance stemming from our focus on technology development. Furthermore, we were the first to localize the Digital C-ARM which is receiving great response in both the domestic & overseas markets.
By lifting our efforts in the development of advanced Digital X-Ray medical equipments, we will provide our customers with “differentiated products, and differentiated services.”
