SCIENION AG is a life science company well positioned in the markets of Ultra-Low volume liquid handling systems and biochip technologies. We provide these technologies to the diagnostic, pharma as well as to the academic market.
Scienion’s leading products are the Ultra-Low Volume dispensing systems sciFLEX. The systems are available in different sizes and automation concepts. This enables our customer´s to select his instrument starting from R&D to high throughput production. A variety of source plates can be used for low volume sample aspiration. The contact-free deposition of the 100 pL droplets can be performed using a wide range of supports. All systems utilize Scienion’s proprietary sciDROP dispensing technology.
In parallel Scienion is developing innovative integrated storage and dispensing devices – a further development of its reliable sciDROP technology. sciSWIFTs are sterile disposable cartridges for contamination-free storage and dispensing of substances. The sciSWIFT system assures the identification of probes throughout the entire production process.
Founded in 2000 in Berlin as a spin-off of the Max-Planck-Institute for Molecular Genetics, the company today operates from two sites, Dortmund and Berlin.
