About Us
The Midi-Pyrénées region is characterised by a strong potential and significant development of health industries, the 5th French region hosting a network of small and medium-sized businesses and industries operating on highly specific markets.
In this context, these industries created the SISMIP in 1994 to develop collective initiatives in various areas: research, technology, regulations, communications, employment, export.
- lack of awareness/recognition of our activities by local authorities: Prefecture, Regional Council, Departmental Council, political world in general. Apart from the aeronautics industry, there is a genuine, rapidly increasing health industry network in the Midi-Pyrénées region.
- desire to pool resources via the creation of working groups on issues such as for example “regulations: European standards, labour laws…”, but also other concerns such as export, the environment etc., tackled by our 5 committees.
- complementarity, cross-sectional aspect of the health network in the Midi-Pyrénées region.
- not enough networks, lack of visibility: insufficient knowledge of partners.
- desire to know each other and to meet regularly for discussions and exchanges.
