Mission
SSI Diagnostica manufactures and sells in vitro diagnostic products for clinical microbiology, veterinary diagnostics, food analysis and environmental control. SSI DIAGNOSTICA’s production is certified according to ISO 9001 and ISO 13485.
* Culture media & laboratory reagents
SSI Diagnostica manufactures prepared culture media & laboratory reagents for isolation and identification of microorganisms. The aseptic production of culture media takes place in automated equipment for filling of large volumes at a consistent and high quality. Blood from donor animals are vital nutritional supplements or indicators in many culture media. Animal blood products are obtained from the Institute’s own herd of healthy non-medicated donor horses and –sheep in order to assure undisturbed supplies with blood of high quality and full traceability and the highest standard of animal welfare through good husbandry. Culture media and laboratory reagents are mainly sold in Denmark including to SSI’s own diagnostic laboratories.
* Antisera
SSI Diagnostica produces polyvalent antibodies (antisera) for typing of pneumococci, streptococci, Salmonella and E.coli. The antisera have been obtained from blood of healthy rabbits supplied by either SSI’s own breeding colony or Harlan Scandinavia. The antisera are mainly exported through an established distributor network.
* Collection systems
SSI Diagnostica supplies general practitioners and hospitals with a broad selection of collection systems used for collection and transport of patient samples to the diagnostic laboratory.
* Indicators for control of sterilisation processes
SSI Diagnostica manufactures and supplies biological indicators for control of sterilisation processes to hospitals and clinics (practitioners and dentists) mainly in Denmark.
* Diagnostic kits
SSI Diagnostica manufactures and distributes diagnostic kits for use in clinics and laboratories.
