NICOM – Non-Invasive Cardiac Output Monitoring
Cheetah Medical is a privately held company based in Tel Aviv, Israel. The company is establishing NICOM™ as a front-line tool to monitor cardiac function in several inpatient and outpatient areas of high unmet need.
The NICOM family of products is powered by Cheetah’s unique technology called Bioreactance™. This new technology analyzes changes in frequency to derive highly accurate information on the cardiac stroke volume and other parameters in non-invasive fashion. Importantly, this technology has been proven to provide accurate and reliable measurements of cardiac output, even during patient movement and across a variety of body types.
These features enable the device to be used in several important clinical applications, including Intensive Care Unit, Anesthesia, Step-Down Unit, Dialysis, Emergency Room, ECO™ (Exercise CO testing), CRT-Pacemaker Optimization, Thoracic Fluid Content (TFC) for Heart Failure management, out-patient Heart Failure, Hypertension management and Home Monitoring.
The company’s first product, the Cheetah Universal is US FDA approved and CE marked. Cheetah Medical is now exploring global relationships as it brings its products to market.
