Scandimed International A.S was formed in 1986 by Mr. Salah Chami to provide a specialized range of Gastro-Endoscopy accessories suitable for use with any type of flexible endoscope. The philosophy was to produce innovative, high quality, durable products within a specialized but flexible company that could respond quickly to market needs.
Scandimed International A.S has a history of firsts in Gastro-Endoscopy. The first company to develop a truly re-usable range of products, the first to use Teflon on a large scale, the first to develop truly rotatable devices, the first to master Nitinol technology, the first in the industry to be ISO 9001 & CE registered, the list goes on.
In the last eighteen years, Scandimed International A.S has supplied more than 10 million accessories to thousands of hospitals around the globe.
Based in modern production facilities in Copenhagen, Denmark, the company has built a reputation for the quality of its products and its technological leadership. Many of the company’s products are hand-made by skilled professionals who have required extensive specialized training to master the intricate and demanding production processes.
The company’s active R & D department has been responsible for the numerous technical innovations the company has pioneered through the last eighteen years.
Few years ago, Scandimed International A.S expanded its production activities to comprise a complete line of Endo-Urology products using its high level of skills and experience to target a new market segment. Today, the Scandimed Endo-Urology line contributes with more than 10% of the company’s total business.
