Scharlau Chemie S.A. (formerly FEROSA) started manufacturing organic laboratory chemicals 50 years ago.
Since 1971 products have been marketed under the actual Scharlau brand. High purity solvents soon became the most important production line, serving the analytical community with a variety of qualities ranging from solvents for HPLC, pesticide residue, ultra trace residue analysis, extra dry and various analytical grades.
In subsequent years Scharlau expanded its range of laboratory chemicals to over 1800 products from inorganic salts, dyes, standard solutions, buffers, ICP and AA standards and acids up to molecular biology reagents.
Factory and warehouse are located strategically 25 km northeast of Barcelona, the main commercial and industrial city of Spain. Less than 1000 km highway separate us from the most important European capitals.
Deliveries within Europe can be made by truck in a matter of days. Barcelona is at the same time one of the most important ports in the Mediterranean Sea. This allows us easy shipment by sea to all continents.
