About us
NDOMED – Endoskopie + Hygiene GmbH – was founded in 1977 and since then the company’s headquarters including administration and service facilities have been located in Alsbach, a small town between Frankfurt and Heidelberg. ENDOMED is an internationally operating company. At present, it employs 16 people.
In the beginning of 2004, ENDOMED – Sachsen GmbH – was established in Niesky covering production, sales and service in the new German Federal States.
ENDOMED is specialized in production and sales of flexible endoscopes. It was the first company to buy and sell second-hand flexible endoscopes, a market in which we hold a leading position today. Our product programme includes glass fiber endoscopes as well as video endoscopes of all brands. A current list of second-hand products is available under www.endomed.de. The used endoscopes are tested and, if necessary, repaired in our service department in Alsbach.
Compared to other manufacturers, our own product line Endomed Video Endoskop has a high light sensitivity and can be used with a 150 Watt halogen light source.
Our product range also includes endoscopy accessories such as biopsy forceps, cannulas, catheters, light sources, mountable video cameras, monitors, recorders and much more.
Another important business segment is the repair of flexible endoscopes of all brands. We repair glass fiber endoscopes as well as video endoscopes and, if desired, we also tune fiber scopes into video scopes.
As our name tells you, hygiene is another significant part of our business activities. Here, our range of products includes plastic and stainless steel trays, tubes, disinfectants, brushes etc. The enzymatic cleaner Enzy-Clean which has been developed in cooperation with Dr. Beckermann is manufactured exclusively for us and is marketed worldwide.
ENDOMED is the exclusive distributor of Medivators endoscope reprocessing systems and drying systems in Germany and Austria.
Our company also has a close cooperation with the Alsbacher Institut which carries out endoscope hygiene tests and offers seminars on “Cleaning and Care of Flexible Endoscopes”.
In the veterinary sector, we are also specialized in endoscopy. Here, our product programme ranges from thin endoscopes for small animals to video gastroscopes for horses with a working length of 330 cm which we manufacture ourselves. We also sell endoscopes used in human medicine which have been sorted out as well as custom-made products at competitive prices.
ENDOMED Endoskopie + Hygiene GmbH aswell as ENDOMED Manufaktur Sachsen are certified according to DIN EN ISO 13485:2003 for manufacturing and repair of endoscopes, endoscope-devices and accessoires.
