About us
Qarad b.v.b.a. was founded in 2000 by Dirk Stynen, Ph. D., to offer medical device manufacturers, located inside and outside Europe, the necessary services to comply with the new European regulations. Qarad is specialized in In Vitro Diagnostic Devices, but also deals with general Medical Devices.
Qarad has served over 50 companies from all over the world. Most of them are manufacturers of IVDs, others are manufacturers of general Medical Devices or high-tech clinical laboratories.
Principal Consultant Dirk Stynen (born 1957, Belgian citizen) has a wide professional experience including scientific research, diagnostic assay development, quality system implementation, clinical studies and regulatory affairs. He obtained a Ph. D. degree in Biology and completed Postgraduate Studies in Enterprise Economics. Therefore, he understands all aspects of your business. Furthermore, his fluency in four languages, and notions of two more, will allow efficient communication within and outside Europe.
Dirk Stynen represents Belgium in WG2 of TC140 of CEN (the European Standards Organization), in charge of the development of standards for IVD’s.
Consultant Agnes Goris (born 1961, Belgian citizen) holds a Master Degree in Biology and completed Postgraduate Studies in Biotechnology. Before joining Qarad, she gained over 16 years of experience in the IVD and Pharmaceutical Biotechnology industries, where she held R&D and Quality Control functions. Mrs. Goris has a.o. extensive experience in assay development, method validation and statistical process control.
